Another 'tween set for Aynslie. Perusing through void storage and figured I'd mog to this. Found a wand I didn't hate (I actually like it quite a lot), and got really lucky on my Lei Shin LFR and got this wonderful offhand that looks good with the set too! I forgot how much I liked this shade...such a burst of color and a fun design. :D
Thanks Aellin for letting me borrow that quote! Both Rosearie (Kimstar) and I whispered him at the same time the other day wanting to show our new sets off. We met up in Shrine and had a fashion show, then realized we were all in reds lol. Honey's been on a mogging spree, only had the Bloodscale set for 4 days before switching to this. We did manage to down a new boss though! Posting the original inspiration for the set to the right. Just a couple of tweaks to get from not quite to just right! :D I didn't keep my ICC set for long. The same day I posted my set I had the burning urge to change my mog. Like I couldn't raid without doing it. I had to hustle to get everything together, from buying legs alliance side to making an attempt at Magtheridon for a shield...Besides, changing a mog for me before a raid is what I think some superstitious athletes do when they wear the same socks or whatever. I feel like if I get a new mog our guild has a better chance of downing a new boss...which we did! :D The goggles are a little bit off color wise, but they're semi pink and engineering only, and the outfit felt a little more complete after I was done! I did a bit of work on my site today. Posting Honey's 'tween set, just the heroic ICC paladin tier, with a little bit of Gurthalak and an unmogged Twins shield for her holy set. Also posted Aynslie's latest set, and a new conjunction on my website: Flavor of the Month. It was a merger of my shaman and druids pages, and a place for me to post the few sets I make for my alts that don't get as much attention as Aynslie. A little bit ago I posted Honey's Electric set on a "rate the transmog above you" thread on MMO-Champ. I haven't posted on there in a while, but I felt like that set was pretty different and I liked it a lot so I thought I would share. What's supposed to happen is you rate the transmog above you, then post your own mog. What happened to me and what happens often is people will comment on a set without posting anything of their own. What bothered me immensely is that someone commented on mine without posting their own set, and instead of being positive or constructive in any way I felt they attacked and berated me because they didn't like it. I've seen the same person do the same thing to many people before, which is part of the reason why I had stopped visiting the thread as much as I have in the past. I flipped out, made a response to the poster saying it would be nice if they could be more tactful in their replies and maybe offer some suggestions rather than completely tearing someone down. I also said I'd never read the thread again, let alone post in it. While my reaction was probably a little extreme, I don't need to be exposed to such negativity in regards to something I'm passionate about, that makes me happy, and is something that is more of an artistic expression than anything else. Transmogrification is subjective, and while it may not appeal to someone, the person that mogged to a particular set did it for a reason. I've seen quite a few mogs on people and wondered what in the heck they were thinking, but in the end I've never said anything negative because it's their own personal choice. If I see someones set that I love I might just post it on my site (if I'm not lazy). More often than not though I'll stop and whisper people saying I like their mog. It seems silly, but I know that I enjoy when people say the same thing to me, and it's nice to be appreciated for something that had a lot of thought and hard work put into it. After that post I unmogged both Honeypants and Aynslie for a little bit. I'm a sensitive person in general, and while I shouldn't let people like that get to me, I couldn't help it. I almost vowed to go a whole month without mogging, but I only made it about a week before I had the itch to mog again (I'll post sets this weekend hopefully). I love sharing my sets, I love people that share their sets, and I love getting inspiration from anywhere. I don't like being bullied, and I hate bullies in general. This isn't the fashion police, it's dress up in a video game. Moral of the story: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Don't be an internet tough guy on some proverbial high horse trying to knock people down for doing something that makes them happy. Be yourself, share your ideas and take inspiration from anywhere you can. Be happy and proud of what you do, and be kind to others - it truly goes a long way! Once again my friend Arithan/Aellin outdid himself again. He showed me his latest companion pet last night, and after seeing it for the first time I flipped out because it wasn't at all what I was thinking it would be. To my suprise this morning when he logged on and said he had a present for me...I don't even know what to say anymore other than <3<3<3! This little guy is so flipping adorable, I love him. I instantly went out and bought more pet biscuits, he gets pretty big :p After raid tonight I was finally inspired to put some local mog pictures up. I've been pretty meh about mogging the last month, but I'm getting back into it. Thank you <Tauren It Up> for inspiring me :) <3 I also made Blazeguard, Reborn today...and promptly mogged out of my set that it matches with. To be honest, I'm not fond of this stage of it. I really liked the simplicity and the more focal point of the colors on the first stage, but the second one seems too busy without being interesting enough. The final stage...I'm excited for that one :) 15 more days! It was a tough decision on which of the Reborn weapon smith patterns I wanted to craft first, but I went with Fireguard, Reborn. In two more days I get the next version of it, and 15 days after that I get the final version! In the mean time I'll probably stick with my current transmog to match it! :) In case you missed the post from MMO-Champion 2 days ago, this feature looks amazing! I'm pretty stoked. The original post can be found here. I figure since I've been so lazy with making new sets lately and/or actually posting them, I'd start posting my "between" sets. I'm not too keen on using full Paladin tier sets, but I have a special spot in my heart for the Tier 5 set. Mogged to it this week, I forgot how bright purple it is! I threw in some engineering goggles since I just got engineering fairly recently and they're pretty fun :D A few of us in guild went back and did the last achievement we needed tonight to get this done. I'm super excited, I didn't realize how cool it was. Thank you everyone who helped us get them, from people who have no insterest in doing them to friends from other servers. Hooray for server first! :D I'll post a guild shot when the other half finishes theirs up :) |
