I won a Kor'kron Juggernaut this week, with a measly 60 roll! Our guild is rolling off in tiers, those that have been with the guild since the start of SoO have priority, mid-tier next and late tier last. If it wasn't for that there's no way I would have won lol. This mount is super cool. Not only does he flail his little arms in the air, he does a neat little peench peench gesture when you jump.
After being inspired by Honey's challenge mode runs, I decided to venture Aynslie out into them. It went pretty well! Took a few weeks to finish them, but she's done. Once again I had a wonderful time! Thank you to everyone who helped, special shout out to Nakii and Freezyy for getting the groups together. Stratholme was the last CM Aynslie needed, and we had to reset a few times. My favorite attempt was on the last boss when somehow Professor Slate randomly got pulled and started dropping poison clouds all over...still have no idea how that guy showed up! Definitely funny as heck and it made for a memorable moment. Had to reset it, but finished soon after. Thank you guys! <3
Adding my friends Amerisia and Beulaah's new sets to the Local Mogs Blog. They both look wonderful! I'm so fortunate to have such fashionable friends ^.^
Added my little gobby hunter Keanan to my Flavor of the Month page. I seem to be liking her the more levels she gets and as more mogging options open up for her. All the green mail sets I've always wanted to mog, and eventually mixing and matching with super detailed new pieces...and pets! Pets galore! I hope I still like her at 90. I get a little flakey after a second alt :p
I've wanted this mount since I first saw it posted on MMO-Champ.
Problem is, I don't do arenas or RBG's. Honey hasn't arena'd since TBC, when I was begrudgingly dragged to 24 of them with a good buddy. Aynslie ran about 26 this tier, but it was solely for mogging purposes. She needed a hat!
Other than wanting the mount, I had no real intention of trying to get a group together. Saturday afternoon, two of my friends/guildies brought it up in guild chat that they were interested in going. One had a mage, one had a warrior. I originally offered Aynslie, but withdrew very quickly since she doesn't heal :p I offered Greenleigh since she had some fresh Tyrannical resto gear, and we proceeded to grind the day away.
Aside from being rusty with resto in general, and overall having no clue what to do in arenas, we toughed it out. All three of us only had Tyrannical gear to start, so we geared up with our huge CP caps all while doing them lol. I've always had a bad stigma regarding arenas from past experiences, but Cakezilla and Shunshin made the experience the best it could have been. They were patient while I learned my abilities, made macro's as we went, and were incredibly encouraging the whole time. One hell of a grind over the weekend and we were done. You guys are amazing and I love my mount! I did have a little trouble deciding who it should go to after I got it. I sure as heck wasn't going to use it on Greenleigh, but I really wanted one for Aynslie. Honeypants is my main though, and after sleeping on it I'm happy she has it. Next season, Aynslie!
Love you guys! <3
So, I'm sure it's some sort of proverbial Murphy's Law, but after getting my challenge mode set I managed to not only finally coin the mace off Immersius in LFR, but I also coined the spinning drill mace off Siegecrafter in flex. Now my mog I've been waiting forever to post will have to wait a little bit more...and I'll have that second mace waiting for a new mog on the backburner! Don't care :p
I decided to revamp my Local Mogs tab and change it to Local Mogs Blog. I'll still post everything in the sub-categories (Cloth, Leather, Mail, Plate, and In the Spotlight), but now they can be a permanent showcase that is searchable by name and have a link to their gear! I wish I'd done that a long time ago.
I'm really proud of my guild. We've had a lot of struggles along the way, but thanks to extending our raids a little bit every night and some fine sportsmanship, we finished this tier much better off than we have before.
Hopefully I roll better on the mount next week! :)
A few weeks ago I got a whisper from Kwiyomi saying that he liked my website a bit and noticed that I did not have the Challenge Mode set yet, and offered to take me out to complete it! I was reluctant at that time since that is a huge gesture/gift, but I added him to my friends list. A few weeks went by, and I noticed he runs CM's (and streams them!) quite a lot. He asked again recently, and I decided to take him up on it. I was incredibly nervous, I think my palms were literally sweating. After we finished the first one I realized it wasn't too bad, and I actually had quite a fun time thanks to everyone. They were all pretty relaxed and hilarious!
I am incredibly humbled by this, and so thankful. Getting a group for Challenge Modes previously had left kind of a sore spot with me, which was also part of my hesitation in going. I can't express enough gratitude, but thank you from the bottom of my heart to Kwiyomi for getting it together, and to Babyjace, Barbalel and Felocity for making it an awesome experience! I had a wonderful time and I love my new mog gear and my gorgeous mount! <3
You know, one of these days I really should level my warlock. I feel like they always get cooler looking tier! I'd probably hit a little harder too if I was one...
I just got this offhand from flex and I love it. Yeah it's a model that's been used before, but it's red! The hat is a little bit of a stretch theme wise for me, but it's pretty menacing looking. Items Used.
I've been pvping quite a bit on Aynslie lately. So much so that I cap conquest by doing bg's alone. I'd been thinking about possibly leveling another toon to pvp on, and in the end figured I'd rather have a healer and went with the druid. It was a brutal grind farming jp to convert to honor, but luckily healer queues made it go by quicker (a lot less painless and faster than trying to farm honor in a bg while undergeared). She had a few other mogs I was playing around with while doing dungeons, but since I decided to play her I'd been eyeballing this particular red set from the AH. It's a mix and match of Wolf Rider and Imposing pieces, and the shoulders are Season 1 Druid. I'm not 100% on the mace, and the OH was the best I had, but I think she looks stunning. The eyepatch kills me!
Posting Aynslie's dps set atm. Just a revamp of her Illidari set, slightly different shoulders and a mace instead of the dagger off Illidan.
P.S. I REFUSE TO POST A SET FOR HONEY UNTIL I GET THE DARN MACE OFF IMMERSIUS IN LFR. I've been using coins on it the past few weeks (Thank goodness we're extending our lockouts to work on Garrosh, I have a few spare ones lol). NEXT WEEK IMMERSIUS! I don't even know if it's the best mace with the set I have planned anymore and I don't care. I just want it. Going to happen!
Oh man, make it happen already! This looks promising (blue post here). While it may never happen (remember the hinted temporary offline feature for Battle.net? My poor inner hermit), I hope they implement it soon. I've never been a completion-ist, but if this happens I'm pretty sure I'll come close to it. :D
I'll occasionally ask a friend or in guild for someone to pick a color, then I make a mog around it. Between PvP queues with my buddy Prynne, I asked him to pick a color. He said brown instantly, and I knew why, he's a wiseguy. I accepted the challenge, and made the brown set after a few bgs. My other set was inspired by the Blue Overalls, and I knew I had to pair them with the Shovel of Mercy. It was a mostly "for fun" set, so I didn't fine tune it as much as I'd have liked due to laziness (I wanted more of a lamp looking off-hand). After I was done I dubbed it my Gravedigger set. Close enough! It was fun for a few bgs lol.
I love mogging on Aynslie. I feel so much more versatile with cloth! Here are another two sets that stemmed from the AH. I found some lowbie green chests that I liked, and went at it. The blue set turned out much better than expected, although I do think I'm slightly biased with it since I feel like it matches my Spectral Tiger mount really well. The Gossamer Robe set was pretty much a copy of a local mog set I posted a while ago, with a few tweaks.
