My good buddy and partner in crime Prynne has been thinking about switching over to his monk, Shinfo, for quite some time now. Shinfo has had a pretty awesome mog lined up for a while, but he didn't have the "perfect" weapon. About the same time I took up farming for gold in April, he took up Archaeology in hopes of obtaining the Scimitar of the Sirocco.
He had started off at around 100 Tol'vir solves. At around 300 Tol'vir solves he crafted Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds. That was his last rare solve for Kalimdor, except the Scimitar. Prynne was left with a lot of hope that he would get his perfect sword soon after.

2546 solves (over 7k total) later, he finally got his sword. I'm glad, because I had been saving the leather Local Mogs Archive page blank just for him. Reserved was getting a little awkward!
I'm pretty sure the moral of the story is to not give up hope on getting that one perfect mog piece, even if it takes a lot more patience than you have! It makes all the difference though ^.^
